Hilde started making quilts in Atlanta around 30 years ago. Since then, she has lived in 11 countries on 4 different continents.

Living and travelling all over the world, she has had the opportunity to explore different techniques, styles and textiles: North America, Asia, South America, the Mediterranean and West Africa.

Wax has become her favourite fabric for quilts.

She has collected all her best quilts in her book Fly Away with Me, and hopes it will inspire you as much as the fabrics inspired her!
